Wedding FAQ & Pricing Information
How do I schedule an appointment?
Please complete our inquiry form located on the Weddings page; it will be sent straight to us and we will check our calendar and reach out to schedule an in-person, phone or Zoom consultation. Unfortunately, as a busy floral studio, we aren’t able to accommodate walk-in consultations at this time.
How far before my wedding date should I first meet with you?
We recommend that you wait to meet with us until after you’ve picked your dress and booked your venue; these can shape many of the floral details of your wedding. We find that we meet with most of our couples for the first time between six and 12 months before their wedding, but there are plenty of exceptions. Our calendar does fill quickly, so the further we are from your wedding, the more likely we are available on your wedding date.
Who should I bring to the consultation?
Our consultations are detailed conversations that generally last around thirty minutes to an hour. We find appointments are most successful when there are a limited number of people attending. We suggest no more than two people attend the initial consult. This is a time for us to learn about you, your priorities, style and wedding vision to see if we are the right match.
How can I prepare for the consultation?
What we love to see at consultations is lots of visual information about your wedding. Please send us your Pinterest board, if you have one, or any other pictures that are inspiring the look and feel of your wedding, floral or otherwise. We also love venue floor plans, linen swatches and pictures of the bridal gown and bridesmaids’ dresses. We also recommend every couple look over our Wedding Pricing Guide prior to meeting.
How much should I budget for my wedding flowers?
It’s often said that flowers will cost 10 to 15% of your wedding budget; while we have found that to be a useful guideline, every wedding is different. For more information about our wedding pricing, please see our Pricing Guide.
How can I maximize my wedding flower budget?
If budget is your primary concern, please let us know as we begin working together. We can offer recommendations for any budget. Popular ways to maximize your wedding budget include picking up your wedding flowers from our studio, eliminating delivery and installation fees; returning rental items to our studio yourselves; or using simple glass vases that don’t need to be returned, eliminating the end-of-event pick-up fee. It is also true that the more flexibility our design team has in flower selection, the more easily we can accommodate any budget. To keep costs down, consider providing just a color palette and general look, and allowing our designers to select in-season blooms to create that look within your budget.
Do you offer wedding services beyond floral design?
We are a floral design studio, and that is our primary focus; however, if you’re still looking for non-floral design elements for your wedding, please ask! If it’s not something we do, we can usually recommend a wonderful, trusted local vendor.
