Our small 5 acre farm is located in East Vancouver, Washington just passed Velvet Acre Gardens or better known as the Vancouver Pumpkin Patch. Our farm also houses our two horses, chickens, cats, dog and local wildlife. But, we’ve etched out a small portion to grow seasonal specialty cut flowers as well as a small organic blueberry field. We’re considered a micro farm growing on less than 1/4 acre in total. We’re heading into our fourth year of growing and each year we learn more and grow a little bit larger. Our biggest passion is dahlias. I mean who doesn’t love dahlias?! With currently over 60 different varieties and growing! Some of our other favorites that we grow are Sweet Peas, Zinnias, Sunflowers, Celosia, Cosmos and a number of unique foliage and grasses.
Our farm is closed to the public but we now sell our beautiful blooms seasonally out of our new roadside flower shed! Days and hours currently vary as we navigate each season in the shed. Our main growing season is approximately June-July thru September. We’re a little unique in the fact that I was a florist before becoming a flower farmer. So when we don’t have a specific flower blooming or color available we have access to our local flower wholesalers to bring you blooms that may be out of season locally. Our first choice is always local but we do have other options available if needed. Be sure to follow us on social media for shed updates @farmhousefloralandgifts !
Flower Shed Hours and Location:
Our flower shed hours currently vary. We are open for most major holidays (they’re our favorite!); Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. We will be seasonally open based on our growing season. Due to an extremely busy wedding season we do not have set days or weeks we are open. But feel free to contact us should you need something for a specific date. Please check our Instagram or Facebook page for updates and closures.
